What DRIVES US

At Msitu wa Ndoto, we’re guided by a set of unwavering values; unity, equity, and imagination. We love to bring communities, cultures, and nature together, and find ways to encourage imagination, that spark that fuels creativity, innovation, and exploration.

Our hope is to create a successful business that creates employment in the community and enables us to carry out the following:

NATURE

  • Provide space where the public can reflect and enjoy as we protect and regenerate the cave and surrounding forest.
  • Reintroduce and protect endemic species of flora and fauna.

CULTURE

  • Create an engaging historical and cultural trail that celebrates our stories.
  • Infuse narrative into everything we offer.

COMMUNITY

  • Create opportunities for schools, women’s cooperatives, businesses, youth groups, and artist groups to engage in history and culture.
  • Provide employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for the local community

WELLBEING

  • Work with partners to host festivals, workshops, and events so we can learn from indigenous knowledge, and find ways to live better.
